about

About the music:
This EP has been in the works for so long. I (Jesper) started writing the material right after our last release. On the 20th of Jan 2019 I wrote to Claus: "done tracking the material!". Since then, life happened.
Finally, on the 14th of Nov 2020 we managed to get together to record vocals. I got to relive the songs in a new context. Claus brought his universe of ideas into my, now meaningless, noise to make it live again.

About the lyrics:
The theme in the lyrical universe is my (Claus) reaction observing humanity’s interaction with the planet and the living beings that constitutes the living organism that is earth. It is pure fury towards the idiotic ape and the tradeoff it chooses. Biosphere collapse for lumber. A heating climate for the ability purchase Crap endlessly. And fear of silent planet. The lyrics explore different aspects.

Song two focus our ability to only see the worlds as something that could and should be consumed. An anthropocentric worldview in the most heinous form. Where every ‘other’ can be killed. Let it be humans or animals. I guess this the foundation for the other lyrics in some sense as it is one the foundations for the situation wherein, we navigate. Everything else is objects.

Song one focusses on the immediate consequences of our current interaction with world. Puke-colored, drowning in plastic etc. and expresses anger that instead of bathing ourselves in the wonders of the universe – before entropy turns everything dark – we throw this possibility away. And nods towards the mechanistic worldview and its consequences and pisses all over Descartes.

The EP’s last song. Terram Tinnitus looks at the end. Expressed as an ever-changing song. How humans are reducing the symphony of life to one note. The note of humans. This is my fear of a silent planet. A dead planet. Where only the howling if consumption can be heard.
